This book is a great read — often funny, sometimes tragic, always earnest, always honest. It demonstrates that idealism is not dead. Follow on Spencer’s ride from boyhood to mid-life, and you will encounter characters you wish you would have met in your own life, people who either challenged or mentored Spencer, or both, and who helped mold him into the man he is today.
